Well, I wanted several times to help with "shield walls" at the Atenveldt War Practices. However, I had some heavy, unbalanced basket hilts and mitten gauntlets. So I ordered from Windrose Armoury a hilt and pommel made from aluminum. The objective is to make a weapon that I can use with a gauntlet one handed.
The picture here is an attempt to show my progress and the blue on the handle is wrapping for a tennis handle for shock absorption and then leather stripping removed from an axe I had used and re-purposed for grip on this handle. After E.W. I will trade the pommel out for a brass pommel for better balance. The thrusting tip is also from Windrose as well.
